Lounge at the front, bedrooms at the back, deck on the sunny side. These were taken in April, after this year's new sofa and mattresses went in.

Wraparound sofa, electric fire, 43-inch TV with Freeview and a cupboard of board games and beach toys.
Seats 6 Kitchen and dinette
Full gas cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster and enough mugs that nobody has to wash up before tea.
Sleeps 2 The double room
Standard double with a proper sprung mattress, overhead storage, hanging space and room for the travel cot.
Sleeps 2, twice Two twin rooms
Two 2ft 6in singles in each. Snug for adults, perfect for children, and both rooms have a blackout blind.
Plus a second toilet Shower room
Large cubicle with a thermostatic shower that stays hot. A separate second toilet saves the morning queue.

Marram Sands does the entertaining
The caravan is ours; the park belongs to everyone staying on it. It is open from the first of March to the first weekend of November.
Indoor pool and flume
Heated to 30 degrees with a toddler splash area and a lifeguard on duty at every session. Open daily, 9am to 6pm
The Sandcastle Club
Kids club in the morning, bingo at seven, a live act most nights and a bar that does a decent pint. Evening shows from 7pm
Adventure playground
A pirate ship, a zip wire and crazy golf next door. It is two rows from our pitch, so you can hear when tea is ready. Free, dawn to duskAbout entertainment passes. The pool and clubhouse need park passes, which you buy from reception on arrival: £8 per person for a weekend, £14 for a week, under-fives free. The playground, shop, chippy and beach path need no pass at all.
Weekend, midweek or the full week
Friday to Monday, Monday to Friday, or Saturday to Saturday in the school summer holidays. The diary is open and the calendar is live.

Three things we do every single visit
All of them within a short walk or a ten-minute drive of the barrier.
Sandilands beach
Miles of clean sand, shallow paddling at low tide and dogs allowed all year north of the groynes. 4 minutes through the dune path
Harker's fish and chips
Haddock fried to order in beef dripping, eaten on the sea wall. Cash and card. Closed Mondays out of season. 12 minutes on foot
Saltfleet dunes reserve
Boardwalks, bird hides and, from November, grey seal pups on the far sandbanks. Free to visit, bring binoculars. 10 minutes by carWritten on the last morning

Spotless, warm and everything worked. The kids lived in the pool and we lived on the deck. Already booked the same week for next year.
Half the price of booking through the park and a far nicer van. Carol rang the day before to check we had the directions.
The gated deck was a godsend with a two-year-old and a spaniel. Beach in four minutes was not an exaggeration.

We bought the van for our own family holidays and let the weeks we cannot use. You deal with us from first message to key return, and Pete's mobile number is on the fridge if anything needs sorting during your stay.

What time can we arrive and leave?
The caravan is ready from 3pm. The key is in a coded key safe by the door and we text you the code that morning. Please be out by 10am so our cleaner can turn it round.
Do we need to bring bed linen?
Duvets and pillows are on every bed. Bring your own sheets, covers and towels, or add our linen service at £5 a bed and arrive to beds made up.
Are park passes included?
No. Private owners are not allowed to sell them, so you buy passes at reception if you want the pool and clubhouse. Plenty of our guests never bother.
Is the caravan suitable for wheelchair users?
Not really, we are sorry to say. There are three steps up to the deck and the internal doors are 24 inches wide. Ring us and we will be honest about what would work.
The deckchairs are in the shed. The tide times are on the fridge.
Summer weeks go first and they go by February. Book direct with the owners and keep the booking fee for ice creams.
